Greetings Adventurers!
As we move closer to Alpha Phase 2, development on Valorwood has continued to focus on strengthening the game’s core systems. This latest update brings a series of meaningful gameplay and world changes designed to improve progression, balance, and immersion ahead of the next testing phase.
Weapon Repair Kits – Expanded Functionality
Weapon maintenance has been refined with the introduction of two distinct weapon repair kit variants. Each variant is designed to support different stages of progression, allowing players to make more deliberate choices when maintaining their gear.
This change improves long-term equipment management and better aligns repair mechanics with crafting depth and resource availability.
Resource Type Adjustments
We have made a number of minor but important updates to resource types across the game. These changes help improve clarity, reduce redundancy, and better support crafting, storage, and progression systems as they expand.
While subtle, these refinements contribute to a smoother and more understandable survival loop.
Storage Containers – Size Variants Added
Storage has received a significant quality-of-life upgrade. Containers now come in Small, Medium, and Large variants, allowing players to scale their storage solutions alongside their settlements.
This provides:
More flexibility in early-game base setups
Clear progression for storage capacity
Better visual consistency across player-built structures
Weather System & Climate Cycles Fully Integrated
One of the largest updates in this dev log is the full integration of the dynamic weather system, complete with variation cycles. The world of Valorwood now transitions naturally through changing weather patterns.
This system enhances immersion and lays the groundwork for future mechanics tied to survival, exploration, and world events.
Alpha Phase 2 Crafting Mechanics – Finalised for Launch
Crafting has received its Alpha Phase 2 update, bringing improved flow, clearer recipes, and better system structure across workbenches and progression tiers.
This pass focuses on:
Smoother early-to-mid game crafting
Clearer material requirements
Stronger alignment between crafting, repairs, and storage
With these changes in place, the Alpha Phase 2 crafting experience is now ready for launch.
Thank you for continuing to support Valorwood’s development. We’re excited for you to experience these systems in action very soon.
Stay prepared, and watch the skies.
