Valorwood Demo Now Live on Steam

We are excited to announce another major milestone in Valorwood’s development. The Valorwood demo is now officially available on Steam.

After years of development, testing, rebuilding, optimisation, and refinement, we are finally at the point where players can step into Valorwood and experience a part of the world for themselves.

This is a huge moment for us as a team and represents the beginning of a new stage in development. Until now, much of our work has taken place behind the scenes. We have spent countless hours building the world, testing systems, resolving bugs, and continuously pushing the quality of Valorwood further. Now, we are ready to start putting the game directly into the hands of players.

The Valorwood Demo

The demo gives players their first opportunity to explore the world of Valorwood and experience some of the systems we have been working towards over the past few years.

Players will be able to explore a section of the Overworld, experience different environments, test combat, interact with the world, and get a first look at the direction we are taking the game.

This is not the finished game, and the demo represents an early snapshot of Valorwood during its development. Some systems are still being developed, while others will continue to receive improvements and refinement as development progresses.

Built for Player Feedback

One of the most important parts of releasing the demo is opening the development process up to our community.

For years, we have relied heavily on internal testing to identify problems and improve the game. That process has helped us overcome countless issues, from performance problems to bugs that could bring the entire development environment crashing down.

Now we can begin learning from players outside of the development team.

Your feedback will help us understand what works, what needs improvement, and where we should focus our attention as Valorwood continues to grow. Whether it is combat, exploration, performance, controls, world design, or simply how the game feels to play, every piece of feedback gives us another perspective to work from.

The Beginning of Something Bigger

The demo is only the beginning.

Valorwood is still actively being developed, with major systems and features continuing to evolve. Our upcoming development phases will introduce further improvements to the Overworld, AI, combat, UI, world interactions, progression systems, animations and much more.

We are particularly excited to see how players approach the world and what they choose to do when given the freedom to explore and experiment.

After almost three years of development, seeing Valorwood become something that other people can finally play is an incredible milestone for us.
